方回《次韻志歸（其六）》In response to “A Remark on My Return”, with the same rhyming scheme (No. 6), by Fang Hui 方回 (1227-1305)

解語鶯能巧，

交飛蝶許狂。

苔紋深碧毯，

榴靨競紅粧。

粗已成幽圃，

猶當築小堂。

未妨無暑藥，

熟水紫蘇香。

So nimble are the warblers with a language [of their own];

So lively are the butterflies fluttering about.

Mossy lacework lends depth to an emerald tapestry;

Pomegranates’ faces vie to put on rouge.

[My] secluded garden has roughly taken shape,

Yet a small hall still needs to be built.

No worries about lacking a remedy for summer’s heat:

[I’ve got] fragrant purple perilla in boiled water.
